About Oakridge
Oakridge Elementary School, located in Moore, Oklahoma, is proud to serve approximately 559 students from Kindergarten through Sixth Grade. Established in 2010, Oakridge has grown into a place where students, families, and staff come together to create a caring and supportive school community. Our team of 37 certified teachers and 25 support staff members is dedicated to making every child feel safe, valued, and excited to learn each day. With our school colors of blue and gold and our mascot, Scout the Sabercub, we take pride in building a strong sense of school spirit and belonging.
At Oakridge, we are proud to be a Leader in Me school, where students are encouraged to build leadership skills, set goals, and take responsibility for their learning and actions. This program helps students grow in confidence, teamwork, and character both inside and outside the classroom. Our school is also supported by a strong and active PTA, which plays an important role in enriching student experiences and strengthening the connection between school and home.
Students enjoy a well-rounded school experience with weekly classes in Music, Physical Education, Art, and STEAM, giving them opportunities to explore their interests and discover new talents. At the heart of our school is the library, a welcoming space where students visit with their classes for lessons and can also stop by during the week to find books they love and enjoy reading.
As a feeder school for Southridge Junior High and Southmoore High School, Oakridge helps prepare students for the next steps in their education and beyond. We support strong academic learning while encouraging curiosity, creativity, and a love of learning that lasts a lifetime.
We are Oakridge. We are family!

At Oakridge Elementary, we are proud to be a Leader in Me school. This program helps students grow not only academically, but also as leaders, teammates, and responsible individuals. We believe every child has unique strengths and the ability to lead, and Leader in Me gives students the tools to build confidence, set goals, and make positive choices each day.
A big part of the program is learning and practicing the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, which are taught in kid-friendly ways and used throughout the school:
- Be Proactive – Take responsibility for your actions and choices
- Begin with the End in Mind – Set goals and make a plan
- Put First Things First – Focus on what’s most important
- Think Win-Win – Look for solutions where everyone benefits
- Seek First to Understand, Then to Be Understood – Listen before speaking
- Synergize – Work together and value others’ ideas
- Sharpen the Saw – Take care of your body, mind, and emotions
Students see these habits in action every day—in the classroom, hallways, library, and even at home. By learning and practicing the 7 Habits, our students develop strong character, leadership skills, and a positive mindset that will help them succeed in school and in life.
At Oakridge, we are growing leaders—one student at a time!
